Attention All Desert Rats!

The Mojave Desert Heritage & Cultural Association (MDHCA) and the California Four Wheel Drive Association (Cal4Wheel) announce a unique opportunity to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the eastern Mojave Desert.

Whether you are an old sourdough or a novice tenderfoot, don’t miss the East Mojave Trek on April 18-21, 2024, in Goffs, California.


What:
1. Four days of adventure, education, and exploration of the eastern Mojave Desert.

2. Workshops focusing on overland planning and safety techniques, the history of the
eastern Mojave, and the flora, fauna and geology of the Mohave

3. Docent led tours of the MDHCA facilities in Goffs, California to include the Goffs
Schoolhouse, operating stamp mills, the Mojave phone booth, and many other items of
interest to young and old Desert Rats.

4. Motorized tours of the east Mojave to include portions of the Mojave Road, the East
Mojave Heritage Trail, and many other points of interest in the eastern Mojave. SUVs
and 4 x 4s with high clearance are recommended for the tours.

 

Where:
The event will be based at the Mojave Desert Heritage and Cultural Association in Goffs,
California, located on historic US Route-66, about two hours east of Barstow, CA and one hour west of Needles, CA. Meals and dry camping for tents and RVs are included in the registration.
